Call for updates for interchange?
Hello Christian,
recently the Debconf template for interchange was updated and the
translations as well (see
http://lists.debian.org/debian-i18n/2008/10/msg00049.html). However,
during the upload, yet another change was made to the template which
btw. also unfuzzied the French version.
Do you think another round of translation updates should be scheduled
(the change concerns only one string and should be rather minor)?
Greetings
Helge

My Dearest In Islam,
May the love and mercy of Allah(SWT) Almighty be upon you and may he grant us high places in Al-junat Amin. I pray that this message of mine finds you in the best state of health.
I need an honest person. I promise to tell you my good intentions if you respond. And embark with you on a beneficial holy assignment.
My story is based on this two Hadith....
"A Muslim who plants a tree or sows a field, from which people, birds and animals can eat, is committing an act of charity."
"Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy humankind." Until I hear from you, I wait for your message.
Jazakallahu Khayran.
Ma'salam.
Your beautiful Sister in Islam

Polish l10n of PO files
Hi.
Recently I was looking through Debian web pages and I've found this
weird thing in page:
http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po/index.en.html
There are two Polish languages in translations
# pl (Polish)
# pl_PL (Polish, as spoken in Poland)
but we have only one.
We discussed it on on the lists.debian.org> and
agreed that it should be only one language. Because right now its a
little confusing.
It should be same as in Debconf templates files
http://www.debian.org/international/l10n/po-debconf/ where only 'pl'
exists.
And there is a question: can the translations from pl_PL can be moved
automatically to the 'pl' page/section or every translator has to move
his translation individually?
P.S.
Most of the translations (if not all of them) are at least year old so
I don't know if translators are still active.

The arcboot Debian package, which you are the maintainer of, has
pending bug report(s) which include translation updates or fixes
for po-debconf, namely bug number 499506 (and maybe other similar bugs).
The i18n team is now hunting the very last bits of missing localization

unfortunately for you, you then got *another* l10n bug report. We
really should prevent translators from translating..:-)
So, sorry for this, but the radar beeped at your package and here am I

In case you can't update your package, I hereby propose, as part
of a more general action of the Debian i18n Task Force to build and
possibly upload a non-maintainer upload for arcboot in order to fix
this as well as all pending translations for the debconf templates.
Of course, as you seem pretty active on that package, an upload by you
would also be OK...as long as it allows a round of translati

Hi,
The debian-l10n-english team has reviewed the debconf templates for
isight-firmware-tools. This opens an opportunity for new translations to be sent
for that package.
isight-firmware-tools already includes translations for:
cs.po de.po es.po eu.po fi.po fr.po gl.po ja.po pt.po ro.po ru.po sv.po tr.po vi.po
so do not translate it to these languages (the previous translators will
be contacted separately).

Debconf 8 internationalization sessions report
During Debconf 8, we handled four work sessions around
internationalization as well as more informal work around i18n
infrastructure.
This long-overdue report summarizes the discussions during these
meetings as well as other i18n-related work that happened during
Debcamp and Debconf.
Please accept our apologies for us being very late sending this.

During Debconf 8, a lot of work happened around i18n, either during Debcamp,
informal sessions during Debconf and four formal 1-hour sessions.
i18n work session 1: infrastructure
-----------------------------------
During that work session, several contributors of Debian i18n
presented the recent progress about i18n infrastructure in Debian,
mostly the dedicated server named "churro", aka i18n.debian.net.
churro is hosted in Merida, Extremadura, Spain, since September 2006, the
first i18n session held in Extremadura.
Since then, several services were developed on churro (see
